The Rose Bush

The Rose Bush 2/9/07- by Jeanne Buesser

What is a rose? But a thorny prickly bush that
grows in any old way with out shape or form.
It is the flower which is grown in its pod,
Which we don’t see that has beauty.
The dainty petals with the colors inside that
slowly unfold to a bud. The morning dew which
glistens in the outer leaves to show the colors
to the world.
Like the bush, we also have our different colors
and different shapes. But even though the
outside may be rough to see sometimes,
the flower that we all produce, with our colors
and shapes, reveals the true beauty that lies
inside all of us, but only a few people who
really know us well can see.
