A Walk in the Meadow

The Walk in the Meadow 6/10/10

As I walk slowly thru the field of long grasses,

Up ahead stands a Maple tree big and strong.

Below its large branches is a bench, where you both

wait for me patiently as I go along.

Though my visit there is very short, it brings a tear to my eyes.

Missing and knowing I’ll see you both again when my time is near,

and I’ll stretch my wings toward the sky.
